Make a Nomination for the 2026 Bioconjugate Chemistry Early Career Award

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Bioconjugate Chemistry Early Career Award. Co-sponsored by Bioconjugate Chemistry and the ACS Division of Biochemistry and Chemical Biology (BIOL), this honor recognizes a researcher making a significant impact at the interface of synthetic and biological sciences. Bioconjugate Chemistry is a peer reviewed journal published by the American Chemical Society.

This award was established by Bioconjugate Chemistry in 2016 and originally managed by the ACS Division of Colloid and Surface Chemistry (COLL). From 2018 to 2025, the award was co-sponsored by the ACS Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering (PMSE) and its name was changed in 2023 to the Bioconjugate Chemistry Young Investigator Award. This is the first year the award is being co-sponsored by the ACS BIOL Division.

Eligible nominees must actively contribute to the field of bioconjugate chemistry through innovative research and advancements. For this award, an early career researcher is defined as an individual within 10 years of beginning an independent research position—whether in academia, industry, or another research setting. This timeline starts after postdoctoral appointments or the completion of formal education. Any official leaves of absence may be deducted from this period. Self-nominations are welcomed.

For more information about applying for this award, see the official call for nominations here. The deadline for this award is July 23, 2025.
